Safer space policy
We want to make sure that all attendees can express themselves without consequence.
All ticket holders must agree to follow the below. This will be reinforced upon entry by security.
- BENT will not tolerate any form of harassment. Homophobia, transphobia, racism, ableism, ageism or prejudice based on ethnicity, gender presentation, sexuality, class, language ability, asylum status, or religious affiliation will result in immediate removal from the venue.
- Be aware of your privileges before attending. This is a space that prioritises minorities and their safety, so if you are in a position of privilege, be mindful that you are in a space that celebrates this level of inclusion.
- Try not to make assumptions about people’s identity or pronouns. Use they/them or politely ask if you’re unsure.
- Please drink and party responsibly. Anybody putting the safety of others or themselves at risk will be removed. This includes respecting the personal space and boundaries of others.
If you feel that you cannot follow the above, we respectfully ask that you don’t purchase a ticket.
